새롭게 살기 원하시면 if you want a new life,

옛날 시골농촌에서는   날씨 조건은 무척 중요합니다. 모든 농산물들이  기후와 밀접한 관계를 갖고 있기 때문입니다.  맞바람이 분다거나, 갑자기 바람한 점 없이 무덥든지, 아침 안개가 낮게 자욱이 낀다든지   등등 나름 경험에서 쌓여진 농부들의 기상관측 비결이 있습니다.
그런데 대부분  요즘 천문학적인 돈을 들여 가동하고 있는 기상대 슈퍼컴퓨터보다 더 정확한 경우가 많습니다.
물론 피부로 느끼는 것은  단순히  단시간의  기상을 예상하는 것이고 며칠씩 미리 보는 것은 슈퍼컴퓨터와 비교할 수 없습니다. 
요즘처럼 휴대폰만 켜면  날씨와 온도 미세먼지와 자외선 정도, 강수량까지  나타내주는  형태와는 전혀  다른  측정법이  농촌에서는 사용되고 있었습니다.
  아침 일찍 부터 매미들이 요란을 떨며 울기 시작하면 오늘은 무더운 날씨라고 예상합니다.
물론 어릴 적에 어르신들이 하신 말씀들이기 때문에 과학적으로 증명되어졌다고는 볼 수 없습니다.
어린 우리들이야  매미들이 울면 신납니다. 매미를 잡을 수 있도록  매미가 자진 신고해주는  것이나 다름없기 때문입니다.  매미들이 울지 않으면 매미채만 들고 다니지 한 마리도 잡지 못합니다.
매미는 나무 옆에 착 달라붙어 있으면 나무껍질 색깔과 똑같아서 쉽게 눈에 띄지 않습니다.
매미가 울 땐 자기 날개와 몸통이 움직이기 때문에  바로 찾아낼 수 있습니다.
매미는 울지 않을 땐  가만히 나무껍질 골 사이에 붙어 있습니다. 심지어 새들도 매미를 찾아 잡아먹으려고 해도 매미 보호색 때문에 색상구분이 어려워  잘 못 잡습니다. 그래서 새들은  매미들이   울 때 잡습니다.
아이들이 매미를 잡기 위한 도구는 간단합니다. 길 다란 대마 막대기 끝에  거미줄을 칭칭 돌리고 돌려서 찐득이 처럼 만들어  매미 날개에 접촉하면 꼼짝없이 잡힙니다.
이런 매미들이 어느 날 소리 없이 어디서  나왔을까? 가 궁금했습니다.
어떤 때보면 매미가 애벌레 상태에서 나무 가지나 돌담 틈새에서 겉옷을 갈아입고  내버린 허물들이 이곳 저곳에  뻣뻣하게  널려 있기 때문입니다.
매미는 애벌레 상태로 땅밖으로 나와 애벌레의 허물을 벗고 날개를 달고 날아오른다.
지금 나온 애벌레는 6년 전에 땅속으로 들어갔던 것이 다시 나온 것입니다.
매미 애벌레는 6년이라는 세월 동안  어둠속에서 인내하며 소리 없이 갈고  닦고 거듭난  것입니다.
우리가 밟고 다닌 땅이 매미 애벌레에게는 천장입니다. 천장을 뚫고  나와야 합니다. 천장에 아스팔트나 건물이 들어섰다면  죽을힘을 다해도 나올 수 없이 죽고 말았을 것입니다. 지금 나와서 울고 있는 매미는 행운아 중에 행운아 입니다.
그런데 다행스럽게  그 천장이 시멘트로 막히지 않아서  그 천장을 열고나올 수 있었습니다.
매미는 허물을 벗기 전에는 절대로 소리를 낼 수 없습니다. 그러나 허물을 벗고 거듭나니까
노래도 부를 수 있고, 날 수도 있게 되었습니다.
교회만 왔다갔다 다니는 사람을 단순한 교인이라고 부르고,  진정으로 예수그리스도를 영접한 사람들을 성도나 예수 믿는 사람들이라고 부르는데  이런 성도들은  예수님을  믿음으로  거듭난 사람들입니다.
인간들로서는 도무지 열수 없는 천국 문을  믿는 자들에게 예수 그리스도께서 열어주신 것입니다.
그래서 복중에 복 있는 사람들이 믿는 자들입니다.  또한 믿는 자들은 옛사람을 벗어버리고 새롭게 거듭나 하나님을 아버지라고 부를 수 있는  권리를 얻게 되었습니다.
그리고 천국을 노래하는 귀한 존재가 되고  기어 다니는 삶이 아니라 날아다니는 삶의 모습으로 거듭났습니다.

거듭난 것은  내 노력만 가지고 되는 것이 아닙니다. 그러나 거듭나야 합니다. 그래야 새롭게  살 수 있습니다.

Agricultural counties depended on weathers in the old days, mainly because all the produce have intimate relationship with the climate. Veteran farmers have a secret weather observational skills, such as when crosswind blows, extreme heat without a peck of cloud in the sky, thick fog in the morning, etc. These farmers have closer to accurate observational skills compared to expensive Weather Doppler super computers. Of course, there is one cannot compare the extended weather forecast to the super computers. 

Agricultural counties use a completely different method than cellphones we rely on that shows weather, pm2.5 air quality, UV coverage, humidity, cloud coverage, and precipitation. For instance, if cicada sings from early morning, one can expect that the weather would be extremely hot that day. Of course, we cannot say this has been scientifically verified for it has been a saying from old. Young are excited when the cicada chirps trying to catch them, which is easy when they are singing. When the cicadas remain silent, the young cannot catch even a single one. Cicadas' protective coloring blends in with the tree trucks so well that it is not easy to spot them, even for the birds; yet when the cicadas cry, one can spot them right away for the cicadas flap their body and wings. Youth's tool of catch the cicadas are simple: wrap spider web tightly at the end of a long stick that would stick to cicadas' wings. 

I became curious as to where these cicadas came from without a sound. At times cicadas' stiff cocoon are scattered about after cicadas changed from caterpillar form. Once cicadas dug its way out from the soil and broke free from cocoon, it has to fly up to the tree. Surprisingly, the cicadas stay underground for 6 years, patiently and earnestly growing in order to be born again. The grounds we step on are cicadas' ceiling and it needs to break through the ceiling. Unfortunately, if the ground now has asphalt, concrete, or building built on top, the cicadas cannot break through, regardless of how much it tries. It is rather luck of luck for the cicadas that can sing now, for the ceiling it was under, was not blocked off. Cicadas do not make any sound until it breaks free from its cocoon. But, when the cicadas leaves its cocoon, it can sing and fly. 

Those who physically attend church are called church goers, while those who are truly born again in Lord Jesus Christ is called saints or believer of Jesus. Lord Jesus Christ opens the heavens door, which cannot be open by humans, to those who believe in Him. Hence, those with blessings of blessings are the believers. Furthermore, the believers are granted with authority to call Lord God as Father, when they cast aside their old self and are born again. They are able to no longer live a life crawling around, but rather life of flying and praising of heaven. 

Being born again does not take place simply with one's efforts. However, we have to be born again in order to live a new life.
