가져야 할 재산 Necessary Wealth

사람이 살아가는데 필요한 것이 한두 가지가 아닙니다.
물질이나 지식뿐만 아니라   사람들에게는 필요한 것들이 수없이 많습니다.
이런 것들을 갖추기 위해서  죽기 살기로  돈도 벌고 공부하고 노력한지도 모릅니다.
그러나 사람은  이런 것으로 채워질 수 없는 영적공간과  의식의 절대적공허가 존재합니다.
무슨 노력을 다해서 이뤄놓은 것도 많고  명석한 두뇌를 가지고 좋은 일을 많이 해왔어도
인간의 노력은 아무 힘을 발휘하지 못한 것들이 헤아릴 수 없을 정도로 많다는 것도  우리는 인정합니다.   인간이  이룩한 대단한 것도  근본적으로 인간을  살게 해주는 것은 아닙니다.3년간 비한방울  내리지 않으니까 30만 명이 살고 있던 케냐의 중소도시가  집도 유적도 문화시설도  그대로 놓아둔 채  모두 떠나버려 유령의 도시가 되어버렸습니다. 

인간은  영적인 존재이기 때문에 영적인  강건함이 필요합니다. 영적으로   풍성해야만  지금 눈에 보이는 세계도 의미가 있습니다.

어릴 적에 부러웠던 것이 하나 있었습니다.  한 여름철이면  장마가 기승을 부리는데  그해에는
한 동안  비가 내리지 않아 전국적으로 민심이 뒤숭숭했습니다. 이곳저곳에서 비를 내려달라고
'기우제'라는 제사를 드리는 곳이 생겨났습니다. 그래도  비는 내리지 않았습니다. 이 마을 저 마을  시냇가는 말라서  지대가 낮은 곳을 파헤쳐  물을 구해보기도 하지만 그것도 잠시 고여 있는 정도였습니다. 무엇보다  마을에 있는 우물둘이 거의 말라가고 있기 때문에  식수문제가 심각했습니다. 그런데  소문에  약 3킬로미터 떨어진  마을에   있는  우물  한 곳에서는 여전히 물이 나오고 있다는 소식이 들렸습니다. 이미 그곳에는  그 우물을 향해  수 백 명이 각종 주전자 할 것 없이 들고 와서 줄을 서고 있었습니다.  사람들은 이곳에서 물을  받는 것도 오늘이 마지막이라는 불안한 마음이  있어서 그런지 몰라도  많은  물그릇들을 가지고 왔습니다.  그런데  다음날에도 그곳 우물은 마르지 않았습니다.  보름 후에도 그 샘은  끈임 없이 시원한 물이 나왔고 사람들은 그곳에서 식수를 공급받았습니다. 그 샘은  100년이라는 세월이 지났으며  아주 깊었습니다. 전해지는  말에 의하면   그 샘을 팔 당시에도  비가 오지 않아  힘들었는데 샘을 파기 시작하자마자 비가 오기 시작했었는데  그 마을  지혜로운 어르신이 강력하게 "이제 비가 오니까  파다가 그만 둘 생각하지 말고  그럴수록 더욱 깊이깊이 파서  물줄기의 근원을 만날 때까지 파야 된다"고  주장해서 생긴 샘이라고  했습니다.   비가 오니까  그동안 물이 없어서 할 수 없었던 일들이 산적했지만  그 마을 사람들은   그 어르신 말씀에 따라  협력해서  샘을 파는 일에  열정을 쏟았던 것입니다.   그 샘이 생긴 후로  그 마을 후손들은  물 걱정 하지 않고 시원한 생수를 먹고 지낼 수 있게 되었습니다.
믿는 자들의 신앙도  영혼의 생수의 근원되시는 주님과 깊은  교제를 이룰 때    풍성한 영적인 삶이 주어지게 됩니다.  바쁘다는 이유로 조건이 안 된다는 구실로  더 깊이  영혼의 샘을 파지 않으면  조그마한 삶의 기근에도  견디지 못하고 쓰러지고 맙니다.

무엇을 하든지 좀 더 깊이 파고  근원을 만날 때까지   뿌리를 내려야  합니다. 더군다나 영혼에 있어서는 더욱더 굳건하게   서기 위해   영혼의 생수가 흘러넘치는 곳까지  파야   어떤 풍파에도 여유 있게 흔들림 없이 견딜 수가 있습니다.
이 시대는 돈이 없고 지식이 없고  유능한 사람이 없어서 문제가 아니라  이 시대를 이끌  영성의 사람이 없는 것이 문제의 본질입니다. 가정이나 사회나 국가나 공동체가   쉴만한 물가로 이끌  저 영혼 깊은데서  주님과 교제하는 사람들이 필요합니다.  이런 사람들이 가져야 할 재산이 풍성한 영성입니다.
Necessary Wealth

There are abundances of necessary things for humans to live, ranging from materials and knowledge. In order to obtain those, almost study, earn, and put in efforts with a do-or-die attitude. However, there are absolute emptiness and void-ness that cannot be satisfied by mere knowledge and materials- in the field of spiritual and unconsciousness. No matter the types of efforts, accomplishment, intelligent brain, or good deeds, humans admit that there are countless areas that human efforts simply do not display or accomplish anything. Furthermore, human accomplished things and events fundamentally do not even allow humans to live. A mid-size city with population of 300,000 in Kenya became a ghost town when not even a single drop of rain came down for three years. Since humans are spiritual being, one also needs to be strong in spiritual aspects. Only when one is spiritually robust, can even the physical and visible world have meaning. 

Mid-summer is always an unyielding rainy season, but one year, there was a nationwide uneasiness due to drought. Different places started to hold rituals for rain calling ceremonies. Regardless, rain did not come to the point of even brooks from all the neighboring areas were dried up. People dug up holes in the lower altitude in vain. Above all, with wells drying up, creating a serious problem for drinking water. But there was a news that a neighbor roughly 3 km (1Mile) away still had a well that continued to be filled with water. There were already over hundreds of people gathering around that well with anything to hold water, even kettles. With anxiety that 'this might be the last time the well would have water' governing them, they brought a wide range of empty bottles and bowls. But the well was not dried the next day, or half a moon later, as the well continuously produced cold refreshing water. That well was over a hundred years old, and was extremely deep. According to the legends, when people first dug this well, it was a difficult job as there were no rain to make the grounds soft. When long awaited rain finally came, an old wise man of the village told the diggers, 'Do not think about stopping now just because rain is coming, but dig deeper until you find the source of water.' Even though the problems from drought were solved the moment there was rain, the villagers took the advice of the old wise man in cooperation and passion. Hence, the well was dug to the deep and long lasting with the source of water that provided water for the villagers' dependents.

Likewise, when the true believers have relationship and fellowship with Lord Jesus, the source of living water for the souls and faith, their spiritual life becomes full and bountiful. If one does not dig the well of soul, with reasons of being busy or lack of conditions, one would surely fall and wipe out even at a life's slightest famine. 

No matter what one does, one has to dig and spread the roots deeper until the source and roots are found. Spiritual aspect, out of all things, need to go deeper until the living water flows for one to not be wavered in any types of storm, but stands tall and strong. This era and generation's problems are not because people lack money, knowledge, or talent, but lack spiritual person, who is able to lead this generation. Families, societies, communities, and countries need individuals who have a deep spiritual relationship with Lord Jesus, who would guide them to the resting waters. The necessary wealth that these people need are rich spirituality.
